Overview

BRN has big plans for improving worldwide access to bioinformatics training and careers 🚀. Achieving our goals is going to be tough — but YOU can help to lighten the load. How? By volunteering with one of our “working groups” 🛠️. These working groups are made up of volunteers who help with the day-to-day work required to build BRN up. For volunteers, they provide the chance to learn new skills and shape BRN’s future**.** For BRN, they help us move forward so that we can get more people bioinformed 🔥.

How does it work? 🤔

Working groups are made up of volunteers and fall under the direction of a chairperson (or co-chairs). They are mostly autonomous, so they decide their own rules and structure. Typically, they will meet semi-regularly (possibly once per month) and conduct most business asynchronously over Slack.
